New Membership Cards Required at BCAPL National Championships
July 15, 2016 | Author: Mary Coffman
This year, all BCAPL and USAPL members will receive a new high-quality plastic CSI membership card that includes their name, membership number and a bar code on it. These cards replace the paper membership cards issued in the past.
Some of you may have already received the cards from your league operator. If you have received yours and you are attending the 40th BCAPL National Championships, you must bring your card with you. All players will be required to wear their new cards anytime they are in the tournament room. Players who have not yet received their cards will be issued one when they check in at the main tournament registration desk outside of the Pavilion at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino.
The cards will also be required for players who sign up for mini-tournaments, allowing staff to simply scan the bar code, making it faster and more efficient. In the future, players will be able to scan the bar code to locate their name on a tournament board.
Sanctioned players will be issued a new CSI membership card every three to five years at no charge and the cards will be distributed by their league managers.
Players should secure their card to their clothing while they are in the tournament room and keep it in a safe place when not in use. If a player loses their card prior to reissue, there will be a $10 replacement charge.
