League Divisions Open to League Members Only

8/5/2018

Although this is not a new rule, we want to remind everyone that league divisions are open only to league members. CSI Members are not eligible to participate in BCAPL divisions.

Prior to 2018, people who were not members of a BCAPL-sanctioned league could purchase a CSI Membership and participate in BCAPL singles and scotch doubles divisions. The purpose of that policy was to provide opportunity to people who did not have a BCA Pool League in their area. Although the policy was established with good intentions, it created a ‘bypass’ around the league system. Therefore, league divisions are available to league members only.

CSI Singles Divisions
There are still several events available for non-league members at the BCA Pool League World Championships. There will once again be three (3) events open to CSI Members – the CSI 9-Ball Singles, CSI 10-Ball Singles, and CSI 8-Ball Singles, held back-to-back, July 22-27. These divisions are non-handicapped and open to any CSI Member with a Fargo Rating of 720 or lower. League-qualified members, even those with ratings above 720, may also participate in these divisions if they choose.

They aren't very good with answering questions on here. I was told in the past that your partner in scotch doubles had to be from the same league that you were in. There is only one woman in the one I played in so I would never be able to play in it. If that is the case. They get less and less people every year sadly so who knows how much longer it will last. Hopefully they advertise it more and it picks up.
